Requirements for FlitterPrints.com product customizer:
We are looking for a developer to complete 1 of 2 different options to meet a project goal. We are not looking for both options, rather, either approach will work.
Option 1: Expression Engine & FoxyCart Integration
Create a product customizer for stationery and greeting cards that will integrate with the Expression Engine Content Management System and the FoxyCart hosted shopping cart solution.
Expression Engine is a PHP CMS. It allows PHP 5 at any level. FoxyCart is a JSON based shopping cart solution. It does one thing, takes data that is passed to it and puts it through a payment gateway. It does not determine product placement, pricing, or anything. It simply passes the data through a hosted SSL certificate and provides a checkout page and cart.
The site, Flitter Prints, allows users to customize stationary and greeting cards by adding text and an image to a predesigned card that is then saved and sent to the site administrator for printing. The customizer must meet the following requirements:
1. Allow the user to add text using truetype fonts to the card, either using a TinyMCE editor or other consumer-friendly interface. The text will be in a single pre-determined font for the card and a single predetermined color for the card, but it will vary from card to card on the site.
2. Allow the user to upload and place a photo on the card.
3. Save the customized card and allow the user to preview the customized card.
4. Allow the user to type in a form field their initials or a code to approve the proof.
5. Pass the saved image (most likely a PNG) of the customized card to the shopping cart and attach it to an email that is sent to the site administrator.
FoxyCart allows variables to be added to the cart string.
Option 2: Take existing HTML and CSS of site and implement a backend system that provides all of the above functionality and a CMS for information management.
